Please spend some time with each of the paintings … they contain images that begin to appear after a few moments. An added plus is that the majority of my paintings can be displayed in all four directions. This presents a different experience, ‘look’, and new hidden images. Non Traditional Abstracts
Returning to painting in 2001 after a 20-year hiatus I decided that this time I wanted to try palette knife techniques to create colorful, bold, powerful paintings. Quite by accident I had another thought about the possibilities of using thinned oils. Painting a multitude of canvases resulted in a wde variety of non traditional abstracts. Luminescence Series
The Luminescence Series was another one of those ‘studio accidents’ which has evolved into an amazing gallery of canvases. The technique was discovered when, upon completing an abstract painting, I noticed a considerable amount of paint left on the table. I placed a blank canvas down on the paint and pressed down. When I turned it over it revealed the most amazing painting of the bottom of the sea I had ever seen.
