Using Abstract Art to Balance Feng Shui Energies and Heal your Life
Feng Shui is the ancient art of directing and optimizing the flow of energy in your space.
Color is important in feng shui, because it affects us on an unconscious level, effecting our perceptions, thoughts, moods, emotions and physical bodies. The effects of a particular color on a person can be as individual as the person themselves. Color can perk up a dark corner of your home, or inspire you to move beyond old limits.
I use pure color when creating my Non Traditional Abstracts and Astrology Birth Paintings. I’m sharing with you here what I have learned about color. My studies have ranged from Feng Shui techniques to Edgar Cayce’s interpretation of colors.
I don’t focus on specific attributes of various colors for a painting, but select the colors and combinations of colors that are complementary, and intuition directs.. The images that appear in a specific color will have meaning to the person who is tied in to that color.
Purple: Wealth and Helpful People
If Wealth is a goal, you would use purple to create your positive atmosphere. It gives a boost to your intuition, mysticism, inspiration and creativity. Centuries ago, the dyes used to create purple were so expensive that only the very rich could afford it.If your goal is to find and network with Helpful People or Patrons, hang a purple painting, or bring lovely purple shades into your home or office. Pale shades like lavender and lilac are considered soothing.

Red: Fame
If Fame is your goal, give yourself a boost by using red in your environment. It bestows courage, self-confidence and vitality. Red is the color used on the shields of heroes and famous achievers.
Edgar Cayce’s readings tell us that red is stimulating, the dominant choice of the ambitious personality, the vigorously active, and the opinionated; it expresses a zest for life and an optimistic attitude.

Pink: Partnership and Marriage
For bringing Partnership and Marriage into your life, you could paint the walls pink, cover furniture with pink fabric, or, probably more realistic, just add pink accents. Pink is associated with love, truth, beauty and health.
There are some Pink paintings in the Purple Pallete
White: Children and Pleasure
White is the color used to bring Children and Pleasure into your life. Many believe that white symbolizes innocence, and few things are more innocent than children.
I use a lot of White in my paintings. This is obvious when you visit the Black Palette in the Gallery section
Black: Career and Life Path
The energy for your Career or Life Path is created by black, which represents dignity, aloofness and solitude. In Color Therapy, black is stable, earthy, reliable. Use black to settle chaotic energies, focus attention and make the way ahead apparent.

Blue: Skills and Knowledge
For increasing Skills and Knowledge, your favorite color will become blue. The color promotes relaxation. Color Therapy states that blue is knowledge, health and decisiveness.
Blue teams up with purpose and an introspective temperament, takes responsibility seriously and leans toward spiritual seeking. Blue is faithful and steadfast but is not above turning self-righteous. If you’re feeling tense and wound up in your home or workplace, use blue to relax anxiety and clear your mind.
Indigo calls to the high-minded, the idealist and the intellectual. Concentration and discernment, intuitive and effective communicator with a logical mind are among his assets.
Several paintings with the dominate color Blue can be found in the Blue Palette as well as Abstracts
Green: Growth
Family Harmony, Growth and Love are enhanced through the use of green, a balancing energy and healing color, soothing and relaxing. Green grounds and calms us and represents healing.
Green creates hope and renewal, harmony and balance. The person who is fond of green exudes a sense of joy, is trustworthy, open and appears to be detached. They prefer a quiet life and peaceful surroundings.
You’ll find Green paintings in the Earth Palette
Yellow: Health, Family Harmony
To attract Health in the Feng Shui discipline, you would incorporate yellow in your home, office and consciousness.
Yellow is the favorite color of the clever-minded, intelligent and sometimes wise person who is creative and confident. The color brings strength of character.
Yellow is used in several of the paintings in the Earth Palette
Orange: Social life
Reveals a person who tends to be a social creature with a flair for the dramatic, likes people and wants to be liked, is naturally congenial and quick to offer a helping hand. Use orange to juice up the energy in a space where cooperation and connection is lacking.

Our world is vibrant with colors. Every day we are exposed and surrounded by them but frequently we’re not aware of the colors around us. In Feng Shui color theory the value of color and proper placement in the home to generate positive vibrations can aide tremendously in the accomplishment of your goal, whether it’s health, prosperity, love, or spiritual development.
Remarkable psychic Edgar Cayce’s prophetic readings delved into the powerful psychic and spiritual properties of color. In the Power of Color, Stones, and Crystals, he states: “Color is life, the pulse of existence, the manifestation of vibration, the breath of God’s movement that flung creation through the void… Each color of the spectrum pours unseen powers into the world as vibrations which interact with our own and influence our lives.”
Armed with this information, you’ll have a greater appreciation for color. When you take time to smell the roses you’ll feel a connection to the color of the flower. When you choose fine art to hang in your home, you can use color to help you attract what you most want into your life. You will be able to use colors effectively to achieve your goals once you understand the power behind them.
* Color is Light energy.
* “Light is the shadow of God.” (Plato)
* “Colors are naturally the spiritualization of tone or sound.”
