Austin’s own metaphysical artist, Mickie Bellah, receives many outlines of images for her abstract paintings. Intuition guides her in selecting the colors and application of the thinned paints on the canvas. Magic takes over and the colors mix and blend as the canvas is moved. Even while drying the paint will continue to move on its own. Images begin to appear that may resemble a human profile, a ship’s mast and sails, a variety of animals, and wisps of angels that seen to float across the canvas.
Color is a very powerful tool that inspires and motivates. Color instills a sense of calmness and peace. Dynamic pure colors in my paintings make the heart quicken and the connection between the painting and the viewer is made.
These paintings are fun and enjoyable. They can be used in meditation and Reiki practice.
